Famito

Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Famito when you use the app.

Last updated: 29 July 2026

1. Who these terms are with

Famito ("Famito", "we", "us") provides the Famito mobile app and this website, and is based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use Famito. You can reach us at hello@famito.app.

2. Who can use Famito

3. Location sharing — the honest bit

Famito shows family members' locations to other members of the same family. Only add people, and only enable location sharing, where everyone involved knows and agrees. For children, you as the parent or guardian make that decision, and the app tells children in their own view that sharing is on.

Do not use Famito to track anyone secretly, to monitor an adult without their knowledge and consent, or in any way that would be harassment, stalking or abuse. Doing so breaks these terms and may break the law. We will suspend accounts used this way.

4. Your account

5. Your content

Everything your family puts into Famito — events, chores, messages, photos, lists, documents — stays yours. You grant us only the permission we need to host and display it to your family and to operate the service. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for keeping your own copies of anything you would hate to lose.

6. Fair use

Please don't:

7. Free plan and Premium

Famito offers a free plan, and a paid Premium plan with additional features. Prices, billing periods and renewal terms are shown in the app before you buy. Purchases made through Google Play are handled by Google, and subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Play account. Refunds follow Google Play's policy. We may change plan pricing with reasonable notice.

8. What Famito is not

Famito is not an emergency or safety-critical service. Locations can be delayed, inaccurate or missing — a phone can be off, out of signal, out of battery, or have permissions switched off. Screen-time limits depend on the child's device and can be affected by the operating system. Never rely on Famito where someone's safety depends on it. In an emergency, contact the emergency services.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Famito running, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a significant change that affects you, we'll tell you in the app.

10. Ending things

You can stop using Famito and delete your account at any time from the app's settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we're required to by law. If your account is deleted, your family's data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Famito is provided "as is" and we exclude implied warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or loss arising from your reliance on location or screen-time information. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you keep the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
